We have a deep appreciation for iconic British brands, from Aston Martin to Triumph Motorcycles. So when we had the opportunity to ship a limited-edition Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition from the UK, we obviously jumped at the chance.
The History of Triumph Motorcycles and Their Legacy in the Industry
Founded in 1983, Triumph Motorcyles Limited is the largest British owned motorbike manufacturer, and they have continued the motorcycle production using the Triumph name that was first used in 1902 by Triumph Engineering, who went into receivership.
Over the years, Triumph has become one of the most iconic brands in the motorcycle industry, and continues to produce a range of motorcycles that cater to a variety of riding styles, from class retro-inspired bikes to high performance sport bikes. The company’s Bonneville line of motorbikes are particularly well thought of, and they combine classic styling with modern technology.
In recent years, Triumph has also become a leader in the adventure and off-road motorbike market. The “Tiger” line of adventure bikes has won many awards, becoming what is considered one of the best in the industry. Triumph also has a rich history in racing, including wins in the Isle of Man TT and the Moto2 World Championship.
The Scrambler Line: Combining Classic Design and Modern Technology
Triumph Scramblers, designed for both off-road and on-road use, were first introduced in the 1960’s and was immediately a popular choice for riders who wanted a versatile bike that could handle a variety of terrains. Today, the scrambler line still maintains it’s classic design, whilst also incorporating modern technology and engineering.
The Scrambler range boasts a range of bikes with different engine sizes and specifications to suit a variety of riders, and are known for their classic retro styling with features such as high pipes, knobby tires and exposed engines. They are ideal for adventure riders, as they are comfortable enough for everyday use whilst having off-road capabilities.
One of the features of the Scrambler line is its unique sound. They are equipped with a high-performance exhaust system that produces a deep, throaty growl that is distinctive. The bikes are designed to be customisable, with a range of accessories and upgrades available. This allows the rider to make their bike truly unique.
The Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition: A Limited-Edition Collaboration with James Bond
Released in 2020 in celebration of the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition was manufactured as a limited edition run of 250. It was a collaboration between Triumph Motorcycles and EON Productions, the company that produces the James Bond series of films. It was designed to capture the iconic “Bond” style and features premium materials and advanced technology, and is a tribute to Triumph’s long-standing association with the James Bond Franchise.
This special edition is based on the standard Scrambler 1200 CX Model, but comes with upgrades such as a unique Bond-themed, sapphire black and matt black colour scheme and a range of high-end accessories such as a premium leather seat with embroidered logo, machined front brake reservoir, arrow silencer with carbo fibre caps and a stainless steel headlight grille.
As you can see from the photographs in this article, it also includes the iconic James Bond logo.
This amazing bike is powered by a high-performance 1200cc Bonneville engine that delivers 89bhp, and it comes with a range of advanced technology, including six riding modes, cornering ABS and traction control and a full colour TFT display with GoPro controls. It also features a number of off-road capabilities, including adjustable suspension, long travel front and rear suspension, an a torque-assist clutch designed to make it easier to navigate tricky terrain. A perfect combination of classic, stylish design and modern technology.
How Autoshippers Ensured Safe Delivery of the Iconic Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition
As you can probably guess from the photograph above, Autoshippers were lucky enough to be asked to ship the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition #156 of 250 from the UK to Australia. When it comes to safely and securely crating motorbikes for shipping overseas, our services are second to none.
On receipt of your motorbike, we measure exactly so that we can ensure we pack in the correct size of wooden crate, that is large enough to safely transport your bike, whilst being small enough to cost effectively and easily ship on our LCL services.
We only use ISPM15 compliant wood, which means that it is suitable for international shipping and won’t require any further chemical or heat treatment when the crate reaches its final destination.
The high-tenacity ratchet straps all have a break strain of 500-800kgs, and are placed on the bike to ensure it is secure in the crate with little movement, whilst not damaging the actual motorbike itself.
When fully crated, your securely packed motorbike is shipped using LCL (Less than Container Load) services with regular, up to weekly, departures to all major destinations across the globe.
